Courtesy of leading online food ordering platform ChefOnline and the Asian Restaurant & Takeaway Awards (ARTA), National Curry Week for Health Heroes will take place between the 4th – 10th May 2020 to thank health workers on the frontline’s of our local hospitals for their tireless and selfless efforts to beat COVID-19.

Today we are inviting you to become a part of history.

Our vision is bold. We want to share 25,000 meals free of charge across the country for the people who are risking their lives each day, to save ours. We are hereby inviting you to join us in this monumental effort to show our gratitude towards our local hospitals by preparing 500 meals each, to be delivered to health heroes on the frontline next week.

With the support of over 50 leading curry restaurants up and down the country, history will be made and smiles brought to faces as heart-warming, delicious food makes its way to the teams working around the clock during these unprecedented times.

We believe the love for authentic, culturally replete cuisine has the power to bring communities together – something we need now more than ever before. National Curry Week for Health Heroes will marry the appreciation of great food with the appreciation of the health heroes.

The National Curry Week for Health Heroes is supported by ARTA, the UK’s top ceremony for British-Asian cuisine, recognising UK’s favourite restaurants, takeaways and chefs every year. ARTA has a nationwide network of industry leaders up and down the country, many of whom are national award winners. ARTA were brought on board to galvanise the leading restaurants across the country to join hands for the initiative and prepare delicious curry meals for ChefOnline’s distribution.   

We want the health workers in the UK to know that we are so proud of them. They are the real-life superheroes and National Curry Week for Health Heroes is a full tribute to them, using the magic of South Asian cuisine to bring a smile to their faces.
